Holt is 5 months old today. He’s such a sweet boy and his personality is coming out more and more. In fact he’s started laughing all the time and when Holt gets really excited he does this high pictched squeel–it’s so cute!

That’s right lads and lassies, today was a day of firsts here in America. Today marked the first day that our country has ever had an African-American President AND it was the first day of snow in “the life of Holt.” Yeah, the two are complete opposites, but hey…it was a great day. Here are some pics from out outing. – Jason

Above is a pic of Holt Thomas with his mamma. This was his very first glimpse of snow!

There’s a close up of the little goober in the snow. He wasn’t quite sure what to make of the snow hitting him in the face.

Smithie girl enjoyed playing in the snow as well. Katie thought it would be a good idea to run around with the dog in the snow, through an open field…until she fell face first in a ditch. HA!

Here’s a pic of our house from the street. We measured several different spots in our yard, and the average amount of snow we had was 4 inches!

We went on a walk in downtown and saw this…seems like the firemen were a little bored at some point today.
I love bank Holidays! I’m so excited about having the day off tomorrow and spending it with my family. Here are some pictures from the week.
Yep, that’s Holt in the dryer

Holt has been reaching out for everything–hair, toys, checks, necklaces (in fact he’s already broken a necklace of mine)….dreadlocks……

Holt and his daddy watched the Gators beat Oklahoma the other night for the National Championship game. So, like all good father’s, Jason thought it would be a great idea to get all of his UF gear and dress Holt up in it. He claims that he never wants to see his son wear that fruity looking outfit that I call “beachwear” again, and he’s a MAN and needs to wear MAN clothes. So…this one is for you JGas.

We can’t wait to take Holt to the beach this summer. How cute will this outfit be this summer (minus his pajamas underneath)?!

We went to the doctor on Friday for Holt’s 4 month check up….he now weighs 14 lbs 5 ozs (25th percentile) and he is 25.5 inches long (50th percentile). Still tall and lanky like Jgas.
This weekend we attempted to feed Holt rice cereal for the first time. He didn’t so much like to eat from the spoon. Cereal got everywhere! It was fun to watch him attempt to eat real food though.
Holt with Noni (my mom finally has a name–Noni is short for no name since she was the no named grandmother for a long time)

And….
it’s back–the mohawk….Jason is so proud…
