We went to Charleston and Isle of Palms a couple weeks ago with the family. We had the best time playing on the beach and walking around Charleston. Thanks Nonie for a wonderful trip!

We had a great time with family over Thanksgiving! Holt was running all over the place and loving all the attention from relatives…..
Here are my attempts to capture some of Holt’s tricks on camera:
1. Holt loves his car. He pushes it around and around our house like he’s on a racetrack. But his favorite thing to do is try and run smithie over…he pushes his car as fast as he can right towards smithie and laughs so hard. Our poor dog (notice Smithie in the background of the 2nd picture…her eyes look a little crazy….)
2. Unless i buckle Holt in his highchair this is what happens when i turn around….he’s standing straight up!
3. Holt loves to give Smithie treats. All we have to say is, “Holt, do you want to give Smithie a treat?” And he runs to the pantry, grabs the box of treats, pulls one out and gives it to Smithie….except he normally gives her not one but a handful… 
This afternoon we went to Bond Park. They have a great playground (thanks for the idea, Chris!) and the Sheltons met us over there. Maybe one day Holt will show some excitement when playing with his buddy Zeke…
On Sunday, Holt had his first big fall. We were at church playing outside and i turned my back for 1 second and Holt was running after the ball and fell off the curb and smacked the concrete head first. It was bad and Holt immediately started screaming…i was so upset! He seemed OK after the fall but i called the doctor just in case. They suggested i wake him up every 4 hours to make sure he was OK and i was worried his eye would swell shut. Turns out Holt survived and now he just has scratches all over…poor baby!

How lame are we??! We didn’t even carve our pumpkins!
Holt’s favorite game is cornhole…he loves it! He plays it every time we go to church. We walked up to Apex Baptist for their fall festival and that was the first thing Holt noticed was the cornhole. Check out how wide his hips look!
When we were in Concord last weekend we were able to see the Lanier family! Steph and I went to school together…middle school, high school and college. They live in Wilmington and we miss seeing them. Oliver is 10 months and such a cutie. I had to wake Holt up from his nap so he could see Oliver so he wasn’t in the greatest mood…but it was worth it!
And today is Steph’s birthday…Halloween…HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPH!
We finally made it to the pumpkin patch with Holt. He loved it and tried to pick up every pumpkin. He loved it so much we went back today to get some mums….
